# Shop

## Examples

### 1. Upload a file from a URL

```
/shoplazza-shop Upload this image to my media library: https://example.com/banner.jpg
```

Runs `shop +upload-file --source-url "https://example.com/banner.jpg"`. Uploads accept public URLs, not local files.

### 2. Add a metafield to a product

```
/shoplazza-shop Add a custom "material" field with value "cotton" to product 445566
```

Creates a metafield with `shop metafields-resource create` scoped to that product. All metafields — including those on products, orders, and customers — live in the shop domain.

### 3. Sales analytics

```
/shoplazza-shop Show me the top-selling SKUs for January
```

Runs `shop analytics by-sku --params '{"start_at":"2026-01-01","end_at":"2026-01-31"}'`.

### 4. Publish a blog article

```
/shoplazza-shop Publish a blog post titled "Summer Lookbook" to blog 123
```

Creates the article with `shop articles create` under that blog.

### 5. Create a custom page

```
/shoplazza-shop Create an "About Us" page
```

Runs `shop pages create`.

### 6. Add a URL redirect

```
/shoplazza-shop Redirect /old-summer to /collections/summer
```

Runs `shop redirects create`.

## Domain boundary

Product **images** belong to [`/shoplazza-products`](./products), not the shop media library. Metafields on any resource live **here**.
