# Customers

> Shoplazza AI Toolkit prompts for the shoplazza-customers skill: look up customers by email or phone, create profiles, opt out of marketing, set addresses.

Natural-language prompts for the `shoplazza-customers` skill. Prefix each request with `/shoplazza-customers`, then describe the task.

## Prerequisites

* [Get started](../get-started)
* Authenticate against your store: `shoplazza auth login --store-domain <domain> --domain customers`

## Examples

### 1. Find a customer by email

```
/shoplazza-customers Look up the customer with email tom@example.com
```

Runs `customers +search --email tom@example.com`.

### 2. Find a customer by phone

```
/shoplazza-customers Find the customer whose phone is +1234567890
```

Runs `customers +search --phone "+1234567890"`.

### 3. Create a customer

```
/shoplazza-customers Add a new customer John Doe, email john@example.com, tag them vip and wholesale
```

Runs `customers +create --email john@example.com --first-name John --last-name Doe --tags "vip,wholesale"`.

### 4. Opt a customer out of marketing

```
/shoplazza-customers Create a customer for jane@example.com but don't subscribe her to marketing
```

Adds `--no-marketing` to the create command.

### 5. Manage shipping addresses

```
/shoplazza-customers Add a shipping address for customer 123 and make it the default
```

The agent creates the address, then calls `customers addresses set-default` for that customer.

### 6. Count customers

```
/shoplazza-customers How many customers do I have in total?
```

Runs `customers count`.

## Domain boundary

Finding the customer **record** by email lives here. That customer's **order history** (orders placed by an email) belongs to [`/shoplazza-orders`](./orders#1-look-up-a-customers-orders-a-domain-boundary).
